Intimate and Sweet Describes This Restaurant Wedding in Beverly Hills

"We met in the most conventional, millennial way — online," Jonathan told their photographer. He was moving back to Los Angeles and wasn't sure what to think of Andrew at first, whose interests in musical theater and sports didn't quite match the interests of Jonathan. But after their first date, which led to four more that same week, all doubts disappeared. They realized they had more in common than they'd thought and shared a love of travel.

On New Year's Eve, the couple came home after their dinner reservation to watch the ball drop on TV. When midnight came, Andrew gave Jonathan a Sprinkles cupcake that was topped with a sugar ring instead of the shop's iconic sugar button. Andrew then got down on one knee and pulled out the real ring.

They decided to go with Lawry's in Beverly Hills for their venue because it fit their criteria of "easy but elegant." They held their ceremony in the Oak Room and the reception was in the adjacent main dining room. A close friend of Andrew's also sang at their wedding, and one of the songs always gets him emotional.

"That will be a special moment for me because the words are so beautiful thinking of them being sung to Jon," Andrew said before their wedding.
