Amélie is a 2001 French romantic comedy starring Audrey Tautou. Tautou plays Amélie, a young girl who grew up in isolation with her protective father. After leaving home, Amélie dedicates her newfound freedom to finding happiness for others. She changes the lives of strangers and makes many new friends. Along the way, she meets Nino (Mathieu Kassovitz), a quirky young man who helps her find happiness, and love, of her own.
