Gemini: The Only Woman in the Room by Marie Benedict (Out Jan. 8)
Like a Gemini, Hedy Lamarr is quick to learn new things and is highly adaptable in The Only Woman in the Room. Having escaped the Nazi takeover in Germany, Hedy finds herself married to a man who is working closely with the Third Reich, and when she overhears their sadistic plans, she knows she needs to get away once again. Running away from her home, she finds her way to Hollywood where she tries her hardest to keep secrets about her past and her intelligence. But being a woman during the early 1900s, no one is willing to listen to her or her ideas when it comes to stopping the Nazis. Soon, Hedy finds herself fighting to prove her genius and create a space for women's ideas.
