This Couple Went to the Top of Yosemite to Exchange Handwritten Vows, and Look at Those Views

In the same way that love grows, evolves, and changes, so do wedding plans. Arissa and Tyler were originally set to have a big wedding with hundreds of guests, but like so many other couples, their plans were postponed due to COVID-19. The pair decided instead to exchange their vows on top of California's Sierra Nevada mountains at Taft Point in Yosemite National Park. With ancient sequoia trees at the base and views of El Capitan and Half Dome just beyond, the couple's new wedding venue was intimate, formidable, and beautiful from every angle.

The romantic ceremony was as special as could be: just Arissa, Tyler, and their photographer, Toni Gillingwater, were present as they overlooked the national park at sunset. The bride wore a stunning cutout gown that featured an elegant train and dreamy lace detail, while the groom sported a crisp white shirt with suspenders and dress shoes. Twirling and taking in the views from the top of the mountain, the couple exchanged handwritten vows in the presence and peace of the wilderness. The duo's special day was filled with breathtaking views, intimate moments, and wholehearted love. See all the gorgeous photos from this couple's memorable day ahead.
