NASA Responds to 9-Year-Old Who Applied to Become the "Guardian of the Galaxy"

Every fourth grader dreams of going to work for NASA, but 9-year-old Jack took his aspirations a step further: he wrote the space agency a letter explaining why he would be the best fit for "the planetary protection officer job." The self-proclaimed "Guardian of the Galaxy" pointed out that his sister already thinks he's an alien and that he has watched all of the "space and alien movies," so he clearly knows his stuff. Luckily for Jack, his downright adorable letter was met with an epic response from NASA.

"We are always looking for bright future scientists and engineers to help us," NASA's director of Planetary Science wrote back, "so I hope you will study hard and do well in school. We hope to see you here at NASA one of these days!" Cue the awwws! Keep reading to see how the internet reacted to the heartwarming job application ahead.

This is how you inspire dreams in children and what a beautiful way to go about doing so. Well done NASA!
