Watch Trevor Noah Reveal Just How Scripted Melania Trump’s Defense of Her Husband Was

Ten days after the Trump tapes were released, Melania Trump is coming to her husband's defense. But, as The Daily Show points out, her apology tour was quite scripted. So scripted, in fact, Melania used the same exact phrases in her interviews with CNN and Fox.

Hilariously, Noah shows clips of Melania side by side on both networks, repeating the same phrases verbatim. "At least she's plagiarizing herself now," Noah jokes, apparently referring to how Melania lifted lines from Michelle Obama during her RNC speech.

Later in the clip, Noah also takes jabs at Melania's suggestion that perhaps Billy Bush led her husband to make those lewd comments. "You're telling me the guy who says he's going to tax China, wall Mexico, and knock the hell out of ISIS — that guy can't handle himself in a conversation with Billy Bush?" Peer pressure, then, might be the only way to force Trump out of the election — and Noah tries. The above clip is short but certainly drives its point home: you can't excuse the words of a 59-year-old man as "boy talk," Melania.
