Given how well Hillary Clinton is performing in the polls, Trump seems to be shifting his focus toward promoting his brand; this morning, he held a press conference for the opening of his new hotel in Washington DC instead of campaigning in battleground states.
- The future is here, apparently. A self-driving truck owned by Uber made the first commercial delivery yesterday in Colorado. Wait, it gets better — the 18-wheeler, named Otto, traveled 120 miles to transport 2,000 cases of Budweiser.
- In literary news, the first American has won the Man Booker prize, a British award given since 1969 for the best English-language novel. Paul Beatty nabbed the prestigious prize for his book The Sellout, a satire on race in our country. Set in rural Los Angeles, it explores racism and taboos through an attempt to reintroduce slavery to America.
