Senate Democrats have taken over the floor of the Senate to call attention to gun control. Following the Orlando, FL, shooting, Democrats are turning to a filibuster to demand action. The filibuster is led by Connecticut Senator Chris Murphy, who says he has "had enough." "It's been 4 years, and nothing has been done," Murphy said, referring to the Sandy Hook Elementary tragedy. The Senators are hoping to block people on the terrorist watch list from getting guns and institute universal background checks. Here are Murphy's tweets announcing the effort.
I'm speaking on the Senate floor to honor the victims of the Orlando attack & demand the Senate address gun violence. #Enough
