James Corden Gave "Despacito" the Trump Remix We Never Knew We Needed

"Despacito" is still leading the race for song of the Summer, and while fatigue has come (and gone, and come again), there's always room in our hearts for a good, old-fashioned remix. So when James Corden decided to use the Luis Fonsi and Daddy Yankee track as a vehicle for some of the most controversial headlines of the summer on Aug. 16, we couldn't look away.

"Song of Summer / OK, I know the song of Summer is 'Despacito' / And I'm singing slowly just like 'Despacito' / But this song's about more than just 'Despacito' / Song of Summer," Corden croons, before turning to a cheeky critique of President Donald Trump, North Korea, and Anthony Scaramucci, among others. He doesn't stop at the White House, though — the last third of his parody performance hones in on some of the more pop-culture-related news items from the last few months.
