Obama's Last Military Address
President Obama’s Farewell Military Address Proves His Feminism Once Again

President Obama thanked America's service members on Wednesday in a farewell address, paying a special tribute to the women of the military and reminding us all he's a proud feminist.
During Obama's tenure, the first women graduated from the prestigious Ranger school and the Pentagon approved women serving in front-line combat positions.
"Joe Biden and I know that women are at least as strong as men," Obama added, "We're stronger for it. It's one of the reasons that our military stands apart as the most respected institution in our nation by a mile."
One of the main reasons America's military is so powerful, according to Obama, is because it welcomes all Americans to serve, regardless of gender or sexual preference. "Service members can now serve the country they love without hiding who they are," Obama said.
Obama's comments echo an essay he penned for Glamour in August where he wrote about the necessity of equality. More than once, Obama has pointed to Michelle's strength as indispensable to his success as president.
Obama said he would continue to rally the American people for the troops. "Michelle and I intend to keep on looking for ways to help rally more of our fellow citizens to be there for you, just like you've always been there for us."
