Update 2: CBS News reports that professor William Klug was killed by a student upset about his grades. The name of the shooter, who also killed himself, has not been released.

Update: LAPD Chief Charlie Beck confirmed that two people died at UCLA in a murder-suicide shooting that happened just after 10 a.m. The campus is no longer on lockdown and all classes have been canceled for the day. "The campus is now safe," Beck said. The motive and relationship between the dead are still unclear.

Original story: UCLA is on lockdown after reports of a shooting at the engineering building. Two people have been confirmed dead by police. The school newspaper, the Daily Bruin, and local news stations have been tweeting updates.
