Stephen Colbert on Donald Trump and the Boy Scouts

Stephen Colbert's New, Trump-Inspired Boy Scout Oath Will Make You Laugh, Then Cringe

Donald Trump's address in front of the Boy Scouts of America on July 24 was widely panned as inappropriate — including by Stephen Colbert. On The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, the host eviscerated Trump's partisan performance, which was given in front of a crowd of both preteen and teen boys. "Trump left the politics behind and just talked about his hopes for their future," Colbert quipped. "Just kidding."
After sharing some of his favorite lowlights from Trump's bombastic address, the late-night host also offered a new, updated version of the Boy Scout Oath, as inspired by the current president. As you can imagine, it underwent some heavy — and hilarious — revisions.
