Video of Hillary Clinton Lying

Hillary Clinton Haters Are Going to Love This Viral Video of Her "Lying For 13 Minutes Straight"

Hillary Clinton's opponents are sure to enjoy this video titled "Hillary Clinton lying for 13 minutes straight." The montage was posted in January by someone named Michael Armstrong but is now going viral on social media with more than 7.5 million views.

The title isn't exactly accurate — in the video, we see her contradicting herself more than lying. Take the example of gay marriage, where old clips of Clinton saying she's against it are sliced next to more recent clips of her saying she supports it. Or the issue of Wall Street, where she says she stood up to the big banks and then we see that many of them are her top donors.

The video does eventually present clips of her lying, like when she falsely claimed to have landed in Bosnia under sniper fire or said she had always been opposed to NAFTA despite the evidence to the contrary.

Kathleen Parker, writing for The Washington Post, explained that more than lying, this video captures what so many people dislike about Clinton:

"After all these decades, Clinton still wants everything every which way, just never straightforward."

It often feels like she tells people what they want to hear more than what she truly believes; this puts her in stark contrast to her rival Bernie Sanders.

Parker continues:

"Her lengthy tenure as a public figure has become her greatest obstacle. This isn't only because of her lack of forthrightness; it's also because, having lived under such intense scrutiny for so long, she seems incapable of allowing herself the ultimate dodge: She's merely human."

Of course, Clinton is not the only politician who lies or gives people reason to think she's unstrustworthy. Armstrong wrote on YouTube that he's working on another takedown video — this time about Donald Trump.
