Vote Trump Get Dumped

The Viral Way Millennial Women Are Protesting Donald Trump

Vote for Donald Trump, and you might get dumped. Some women are protesting Trump by saying "heck no" to dating or sleeping with his supporters and spreading the message all over social media with the hastag #VoteTrumpGetDumped.

"To cast a vote for Trump is to agree with his sexist, perverted, demeaning, backwards, offensive treatment of women," says a statement on the Vote Trump, Get Dumped website, which is using crossed legs and fingers as its symbol. "Until Trump is defeated, we don't date, sleep with, or canoodle with Trump supporters. The Greeks did it. Women during the temperance movement did it. This is a tried and true method of getting men's attention when they're being dumb."

Chandler Smith, a 28-year-old from Cincinnati, OH, created the movement with the help of her husband and some friends. The movement's Twitter account now has about 100,000 followers.

"We had a hunch that the combination of humor, anger, and sex would be pretty shareable," Smith told The Cut in an interview. "We're trying to get people talking about Trump's inability to control his tongue, and what that means about his suitability to govern and to represent America to the rest of the world."

Here's how people can participate in the movement, even if they aren't dating anyone who supports Trump:

Step 1: Choose a sexist Trump quote. (There are plenty.)

Step 2: Record a video of yourself reading the quote and end it by crossing your fingers.

Step 3: Share the video or any related content with the hashtag #votetrumpgetdumped.

Some people, mostly men, are saying women should be using their brains instead of their bodies to protest Trump.

But plenty of women are supporting the campaign with full force:

Trump is probably all:

But that won't stop the single ladies from standing up.
