Even before he's sworn in, Donald Trump has already taken over one of the most memorable and tongue-in-cheek memes inspired by President Obama. #ThanksObama has become #ThanksDonald.
The expression "thanks Obama" was popularized on social media as a sarcastic response to people who blamed the president for problems that were unrelated to him; now, people are doing the same for Trump after he posted a tweet Tuesday night thanking himself for the surge in the United States Consumer Confidence index.
