Any rational, compassionate person knows that comparing one group dealing with abject strife to another is an inadvisable move — Trump, however, appears not to have gotten the message.
"Sixteen versus in the thousands," Trump said, comparing the death toll in Puerto Rico as a result of Hurricane Maria to those lives lost during Hurricane Katrina. And even worse, it didn't end there. "You can be very proud of all your people, all of our people working together," he said. "Sixteen versus literally thousands of people. You can be very proud."
