Please Direct Your Attention to Narwhal, the Puppy With an Adorable Extra Tail on His Head

If you thought unicorns only existed in Lisa Frank designs and on magical pool floats, we have some exciting news! World, meet Narwhal: an adorable rescue puppy who was born with an extra tail on his cute little face. The 10-month-old sweet doggo was recently featured on the social media account WeRateDogs, and his story has since gone viral (for obvious reasons). According to the account, Narwhal was found in Missouri roaming the streets with another dog named Papa Smurf, and they both have since been rescued by Mac's Mission, which is a special-needs dog rescue nonprofit organization.

Narwhal's story is an incredibly special one, and because we know you are wondering, the tail does not wag! Mac's Mission explained on Instagram that "the extra tail is not connected to anything and has no real use other than making him the COOLEST PUPPY EVER!" Their vet said Narwhal's tail is totally healthy and there's "no real reason at this time" for it to be removed. "The unicorn face tail does not bother Narwhal and he never slows down just like any normal puppy," they wrote. "Right now he is pretty much the most unique amazing example of what we do here and we are so thankful to have the chance to be part of his journey."

Amen! While Narwhal is not currently up for adoption, as they are monitoring him for a little bit to make sure he stays healthy, he is still lighting up our feeds and our lives with his cuteness. Check out photos of Narwhal ahead, and find out more about Mac's Mission here.
