When "Barbie" first released in theaters, I was convinced no film would ever be able to replicate the cultural magic generated by the marketing juggernaut. The doll-inspired jelly shoes! The A-list soundtrack! The slew of brand collaborations which saw the year's hottest products undergo a hot pink makeover!
Now, as we approach the release of the second part of Universal Pictures's highly anticipated movie-musical "Wicked," I'm happy to say I was proven wrong. There's a fresh batch of limited-edition collections to browse through with products inspired by the film.
ICYMI: "Wicked: For Good" is set to premiere in theaters on Nov. 21, and in the lead up to the cinematic event, top brands are helping fans prep for the occasion with limited-edition collaborations and product launches. Crocs debuted whimsical clogs with a Good Witch-twist (and glimmering shoe charms to match) — perfect to wear while watching the film in theaters. LoveShackFancy has a darling collection that nods to the film, chock full of ruffled miniskirts, tulle skirts, and statement T-shirts. Sydney Evans released an enchanting jewelry offering with witchy studs, a coin necklace set to share with the Glinda and Elphaba in your life, and beaded bracelets in shades of soft pink and rich green. And of course, Ariana Grande's own R.E.M. Beauty has fragrances and makeup sets inspired by everything from Glinda to the Ozian forest.
