Costco Increased Its Membership Fees
We Hope This Rise in Costco's Membership Fees Mean More Free Samples For Us
Just when we thought Costco loved us as much as we love them, they've decided to raise their membership prices by June 1 this year. Costco Wholesale Corporation's shares fell more than 4 percent, contributing to the change that will affect about 35 million members.
Annual memberships will increase by $5 to a total fee of $60, and executive memberships in the US and Canada will go up by $10, with a new fee of $120.
Though Wall Street was disappointed by the Washington-based company's quarterly numbers, we have a feeling that loyal customers will now be, too.
