15 Things You Can't Miss at Disneyland's 60th Anniversary

Head into the park's dance party — you have to go through the rabbit hole to discover all of the pulsating lights, neon colors, and fun music. There will be live entertainment and sparkly decorations everywhere. There will also be an area called the House of Cards where you can take cool photos, play games, or grab a refreshment.

Starting May 22, the park will be giving special VIP experiences to certain guests on a day-to-day basis. These perks include individualized tours of the parks, preferred viewing for evening entertainment, and priority access to select attractions.

In honor of the celebration, the park will put on a new nighttime show. It's a street-to-sky experience, and it promises to be so much more than just fireworks.

Disneyland Resort's other park is getting in on the celebration, too! California Adventure will also have special decorations, food, and events.

Get ready for brand-new food and drinks, including the Diamond Anniversary Cupcake, the Enchanted Cherry Apple Frozen Lemonade, and the Frozen Pomegranate Silver Sparkler!

The park will be offering all kinds of special products for the celebration. There will be art, pins, accessories, and apparel commemorating the park's past and future.

The all-new parade will feature Mickey Mouse and Tinker Bell using enchanted pixie dust to paint the night into an awesome evening experience. Over 1 million lights will be used to make your favorite characters glow.

If you thought the World of Color light show was awesome before, you'll totally freak over the new version called Celebrate! The Wonderful World of Walt Disney in honor of Disneyland's 60th anniversary. Hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and Mickey Mouse, the show will follow the journey of Walt Disney's creations.

On a weekly basis, park guests are eligible to win a private party in Fantasyland, a romantic cruise aboard the Mark Twain Riverboat, or a tailgate party in Cars Land — the prize varies week to week.

Certain guests in the park will win a chance to stay in the Dream Suite — the private apartment above the Pirates of the Caribbean attraction in New Orleans Square. On top of that, they will get a one-carat white Disney diamond. You can enter the sweepstakes starting May 22.

Buena Vista Street and Main Street USA will have special decorations for the occasion full of shimmer and shine.

Specialty cocktails with glowing collectible “diamonds” are showing up at restaurants and lounges throughout the Disneyland Resort. You can try to get one at places like Ariel's Grotto, Surfside Lounge, Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Tomorrowland Terrace, and Troubadour Tavern.
