What a Cool Idea! DIY an Air Conditioner For $8

What is this sorcery? We've suggested ways for you to stay cool in the Summer heat, but they seem outdated compared to this DIY tutorial featured in the video by YouTuber HouseholdHacker.

All you need is a styrofoam container, dryer vents, a fan, and bottles of frozen water. The bottles of ice apparently last for about three to six hours, but HouseholdHacker recommends freezing a few more bottles on the side so you can keep swapping out them out without stopping this makeshift AC. In the video, the narrator mentions that the AC cooled down his room to a little more than 50ºF. If this project sounds too ambitious for you, HouseholdHacker also has a tutorial on how to create a mini AC that's powered by USB.
