Disney's Animal Kingdom's First Night Show, Rivers of Light, Is Coming This Spring!
Disney's Animal Kingdom is about to get a serious upgrade! The area's first ever night show, Rivers of Light, will debut on April 22. This date also happens to be Earth Day — very fitting for the nature-themed show that will take place on Discovery River. The park explained exactly how the performance will go down:
"After the sun sets, guests will gather waterside for the majestic nighttime jewel, 'Rivers of Light.' This illuminating musical experience celebrates the magic of animals and humans and the natural world with a blend of performers, floating lanterns and theatrical animal imagery."
Near the show on Discovery Island, the theme park's Tree of Life will undergo "awakenings" throughout the evening as the animal spirits are brought to life by magical fireflies that open a window into the body of the tree, revealing colorful stories, the park anounced.
