It's not a HUGE deal if you don't really dress up, but when I read "Evening attire: Formal," I didn't know that meant gowns, tuxedos, suits, and cocktail dresses. It was nice to see everyone dressed up, but if you're caught unaware and wearing "cruise casual" to dinner, you may feel a bit out of place.
