Tower of Terror, the California Adventure favorite, is going to be replaced by a new Guardians of Galaxy experience called Mission: Breakout!

The premise of the ride will be to help the Guardian Rocket free other Guardians from a mysterious madman's display cases.

A new Star Wars guided tour is being offered for ultimate fans. According to Disney, the tour is "a seven-hour immersion in all the park's current Star Wars experiences," including priority boarding to Star Tours, character encounters at Star Wars Launch Bay, screening of Star Wars: Path of the Jedi, dining from a Star Wars-themed menu at Backlot Express, a spot in the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular Dessert Party, and reserved seating for the Star Wars: A Galactic Spectacular fireworks show.

Last year, Disney Cruise Line debuted the much-anticipated Star Wars Day at Sea, an event that was a huge hit with cruise-goers. This year, diehard fans of Marvel can book their cruises for Marvel Day at Sea and experience a day-long celebration of superhero and supervillain fun.

Moana has recently arrived at Disneyland, Walt Disney World Resort, and the Hawaiian Disney Resort and Spa, Aulani. Guests can meet the newest Disney princess the next time they visit a park!

Guests visiting Walt Disney World's Pandora: The World of Avatar can visit the Flight of Passage attraction. They will go through a lab tank and become "avatars." They will ride on the wings of a banshee through the Avatar moon of Pandora — the attraction has special effects that will allow parkgoers to feel the banshee beneath them as they soar through the world. The attraction will open on May 27, 2017, in Disney World's Animal Kingdom.

Another attraction in Pandora: The World of Avatar will be the Na'vi River Journey, an excursion that takes guests on rafts through rock formations along a river in a bioluminescent rainforest.

In early 2017, Star Wars Day at Sea returned to the eastern and western Caribbean cruise itineraries and nearly doubled in number from 2016 — from eight to 15 cruises. The day is a dream for Star Wars fans, who get to participate in themed activities, dress up in their best fan attire, meet Star Wars characters, watch the films, and attend a grand finale show complete with a fireworks show.

Walt Disney World's Epcot debuted the International Festival of the Arts in January 2017. The event featured culinary delights from the around the world, artwork, music, and shows. The festival ran for six weekends earlier this year, and will return to Epcot in 2018.
