The monthly OG full-moon party draws up to 30,000 revelers, most donning body paint and bikinis, to the crescent-shaped Haad Rin beach on Thailand's Koh Phangan. At dusk, thousands of lamps are lit, DJs start spinning, and the small island turns into a full-blown rave where fire-eaters and jugglers mingle with dancers and gap-year wanderers.
Closer to home, the Royal Blues Hotel in Deerfield Beach, FL, has organized foodie fiestas in honor of the sturgeon moon and the corn moon.
