11 New Things You Need to Do at Disney World This Summer

For the first time in Disney history, guests can purchase a Summer One World Ticket that will grant access to the resort's four theme parks and two water parks (a total of six admissions) for a discounted price. These six admissions can be used on different days or together, and will only be available through August 2019. Adults are $74 plus tax per admission (or $444 plus tax total) and kids are $69 plus tax per admission (or $414 plus tax total). This is perfect for adult guests who have tons of energy and are determined to see everything in one visit!

In honor of it's 30th anniversary, Disney's Hollywood Studios recently premiered a new light projection show, Wonderful World of Animation, at the Chinese Theatre. This spectacle takes viewers on a journey through more than 90 years of Disney animation, paying homage to classic films and beloved characters. It'll fill you with so much nostalgia for some of your favorite Disney movies from your childhood!

While he won't be taking requests, Star-Lord will take the stage to sing hits from his Awesome Mix tapes. He'll be joined by Gamora for this seasonal show, which runs through mid-August. Feel free to dream about Chris Pratt during it.

Evenings at Pandora – The World of Avatar are becoming even more amazing this Summer. The Rivers of Light: We Are One show features characters we know and love, like Simba from The Lion King, as stunning special effects and a dramatic musical score light up the night. In addition, to commemorate the 25th anniversary of The Lion King, the Tree of Life will light up with visuals from the iconic film.

A few awesome characters will be making appearances this Summer at Pixar Place in Disney's Hollywood Studios. This includes the likes of The Incredibles' Edna Mode, Mr. and Mrs. Incredible, and Frozone. Disney is the best place to act like a kid again, so don't feel bad for waiting in line to get your photo for Instagram.

Happening Thursdays and Saturdays from May 30 through August 24, these evening beach parties are perfect for (probably mostly) kid-free nights at Typhoon Lagoon. They include special music, lighting, and food. You're definitely going to want to try the Glowing Unicorn drink.

This Summer only, Disney has been cooking up some of the best Floridian-inspired plates and cocktails available across multiple dining locations at Disney Springs with Flavors of Florida. One favorite? Gator in a cone! This no-so-typical house-made waffle cone is packed with Tempura alligator wok-tossed with a sweet Florida orange sauce. Any and all foodies need to try this ASAP.
