Disney Theme Parks Ban Selfie Sticks
Disney Banned This Popular Item From Its Theme Parks

Disney parks know that all good things must come to an end, which is why it decided to implement a theme park ban on selfie sticks that just began.
While selfie sticks are already not allowed on rides, the blanket theme park rule will make sure it will never get past security. If guests get to the park entrance with a stick, they will have it removed and can choose to get it back at the end of the day or take it back to their own room. The ban is now in effect at the Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Paris and Hong Kong locations.
The company decided to finally create this policy due to safety concerns, especially considering that last month a ride had to stop for a full hour at Disney California Adventure due to a passenger pulling out a selfie stick midride.
This isn't the only famous place that's banned selfie sticks. Other famous attractions, like The Metropolitan Museum of Art, have also insisted on a ban, as well as festivals like Lollapalooza and Coachella. It seems like people will just have to ask someone to take a photo of them or really stretch those arms.
