Donald Trump Tweeted About St. Patrick's Day and the Internet Immediately Roasted Him
In honor of St. Patrick's Day, President Donald Trump tweeted a short message about the holiday. However, not only did Trump misspell the phrase, but the internet also couldn't believe his hypocrisy, considering St. Patrick was an immigrant.
Here's the original tweet from Trump.
Happy Lá Fheile Phadraig to all of my great Irish friends!
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) March 17, 2017
The internet wasted no time in quickly roasting him for his tweet.
@realDonaldTrump you know St Patrick was an immigrant right?

@realDonaldTrump I'm Irish and you're not my friend. Go fuck yourself DonTheCon.

Some seriously doubted that Trump even has friends.
@realDonaldTrump You have friends now?

One person quickly summed up their feelings in Gaelic.
@realDonaldTrump Póg mo thóin 👍

(The phrase translates to "kiss my ass.")
The internet weren't the only ones who took the time to remind Trump about St. Patrick's life as an immigrant. The Irish Prime Minister, Enda Kenny, who visited the White House on March 16, spoke about St. Patrick and how welcoming America was to Irish immigrants.
