The Beautiful Story Behind This Handwritten Note on a Wedding Dress

There's nothing sweeter than a beautiful love story, and one man's handwritten note about his wife is driving the Internet to tears.
The message, found on a wedding dress donated to St Gemma's Hospice Charity Shops in England, started going viral on Monday. "I wish any lady who takes this dress to have a life with her loved 56 years like I did, happy years," it says. "I was a lucky man to marry a lady like mine." The charity posted a photo of the note to its Facebook page and quickly gained over 3,000 "likes" and 800 shares.
Amazed commenters started asking if the charity knew who the man was and since they didn't, they started to look for him on Wednesday. By Thursday morning, they found him and posted an update.
Meanwhile, the dress, thought to be from the 1950s, is currently on sale for £580 (about $893) on the charity's eBay page, with 20 bids to date. All the proceeds will go to St Gemma's Hospice, the charity that received the dress and provides "the best possible care and quality of life for local people with cancer and other life threatening illnesses."
And the story doesn't end there! Women are now sharing their wedding dress stories and donating to St Gemma's, truly proving once again that the Internet is full of good people and great stories.
