Big News For Katy Perry Fans and Anyone Who Loves Video Games

The same company that made the embarrassingly addicting Kim Kardashian: Hollywood game is hoping to re-create its success with another celebrity: Katy Perry.

Glu Mobile will release the game on iOS and Android later this year — it'll be based off Perry's voice, likeness, and personality. "Katy is arguably the most recognized musician in America following her Super Bowl XLIX halftime performance this past Sunday," CEO Niccolo de Masi wrote in a news release. "She is a cultural icon, and we expect to translate key elements of her success into an innovative, highly entertaining mobile experience." The company also noted that she has more than 170 million fans on different social media platforms, making her a promising video game star.

The Kardashian game — in which users reach celebrity status by following in Kim's footsteps and trying on the right (cleavage-baring) clothes, going on photo shoots, etc. — generated $74.3 million in revenue last year. It's also been downloaded more than 28.4 million times. Let's see if Katy Perry can top that . . . but what we really hope is that it features those two beautiful blue sharks dancing their little hearts out. Source: Etsy user tyart2479
