1 Hello Egg
Hello Egg ($120-$350, preorder) is a smart assistant for the kitchen. The small device will help plan your meals — and order the food needed. You can then use it to watch how to prepare a dish or just listen to music or the news as you cook.
2 Inirv React
Never worry again about whether your stove is on with Inirv React ($199). It's a knob for your stovetop with sensors monitoring smoke and gas. If it gets too high, it'll alert you and you can turn it off. It's currently still raising funds on Kickstarter but has already met its goal of $40,000.
3 GeniCan
Cut down on your food waste with GeniCan ($125, originally $149, preorder). This device attaches to your garbage can and scans the barcode of every item you throw out. Getting rid of something without a barcode? Just say it aloud and GeniCan will still take note of it — and add it to your shopping list.
4 Sensor Can
Never get your garbage can dirty again with Sensor Can ($150). It opens automatically as soon as you get near it and stays open — an amazing perk when you're taking out the trash.
5 42Tea
Indulge in your tea obsession even more with 42Tea ($55). Pop a tea bag into the device, and it'll tell you when your tea is the right temperature and when to take the bag out of the water.
6 Alchema
Give beer brewing a break and try cider making with Alchema ($429, preorder). It's incredibly easy to make your own batch of cider: pick a recipe; add the yeast, fruit, sugar, and water; and then wait for it to be ready.
7 Natufia
Love going to the farmers market or growing your own herbs? Take it to the next level with Natufia ($13,000). The pricey device lets you grow your own vegetables and herbs in your home without any gardening needed. Pop in the seed capsule and watch your garden grow.
