Paramedics Deliver Baby Using Google Translate

Two paramedics in Cork, Ireland, started scrambling when a woman couldn't wait till the hospital to give birth. But it's not because Gerry McCann and Shane Mulcahy weren't trained to deliver a baby in the ambulance — it's because the Congolese woman speaks limited English. Thankfully, McCann quickly thought to use the new and improved Google Translate app on his smartphone, and the two began communicating before she successfully delivered a healthy baby girl. "It's something that I think I won't ever forget as I was translating Swahili into English somewhere on the side of the road . . . " McCann told a local paper.
