Snapchat's latest update will make you fall in love with the app even more — especially since it will save your data plan. The newest update, which is available now for iOS and Android, includes four new features, like Travel Mode, a setting that will no longer systematically download your friends' Stories.
If you're worried about your data plan and how annoying it was for Snapchat to eat up so much of it, that will no longer be a problem. Just head to Settings, Additional Services, Manage, and turn on Travel Mode. This new feature will no longer automatically download your friends' Stories or Snapchat's own live stories.
Are you an active Snapchat user? Well, now you'll receive fun awards to go along with using the app! The special section called Trophy Case can be found in the iOS version of the app by tapping on the arrow on top of your Snapcode. Currently, it appears that it doesn't work correctly, but one of the awards includes a flashlight emoji for sending 10 snaps with the front flash on.
Your snaps just got more interesting. You can add an unlimited number of emoji by clicking on a little sticker icon right after taking your Snap. Just like with text, you can resize and reposition the emoji.
In the previous Snapchat version, tapping a Story of yours would begin playing it instead of showing a little eye icon to see who's seen it. However, all you need to do now is tap on the three little dots on the side of your Story and click the eye, and then you can see who has opened your Snap Story.
