Whether we're traveling, heading to work, or simply out and about, it seems like our phone batteries can barely last a day. All it takes is streaming one YouTube video or a 10-minute scroll on TikTok to wipe your phone to 50 percent. Carrying a charger with you wherever you go is the smart thing to do, but sometimes an outlet isn't as easily accessible, and most of the time, we'll forget our charger altogether. Enter: the viral iWalk Portable Charger ($19, originally $30).
This nifty gadget can store enough energy to fuel up your phone on the go. Not only is it the size of a small lipstick tube, but it directly connects to your phone, meaning no wires or cables needed. Plus, depending on the model you get, it can also charge your phone up to a few hours or fully once throughout the day, so you'll be able to get home with plenty of battery to spare. It will also be on sale for Amazon Prime Day October 2025, making it the perfect time to snag one for less.
Two of our editors tried and tested the iWalk portable charger to see what the hype is all about. Ahead, you can read why this is their new go-to. Looking for even more sales? The iWALK Mini Portable USB-C Charger for iPhone
iWalk Small Portable Charger for iPhone ($22, originally $27)
"I can't leave my apartment without my iWalk portable charger in my bag; in fact, I'd rather forgo headphones than this power bank. I love how small and efficient this charger is. I can fit it into my smaller bags, like a wallet on a chain or an evening clutch. Plus, this charger has a lightning port built into it, so I don't even need to bother with charging cables, which take up so much space. Although bigger power banks hold more charging capacity, the iWalk is much less of a nuisance to use; they're too big and clunky, and most of the time, won't fit into my nicer going-out bags. I've had portable chargers that can wirelessly charge my phone, but honestly, it's never consistent since my phone barely stays aligned with the charging pad while out and about. This model has three LED lights to indicate how much power is left in the portable charger.
The iWalk portable charger lets me simultaneously use my phone while it is fueling it up without taking up much space in my handbag, which I can't say for other options in the market. I appreciate this feature the most because I rely on Google Maps to get me around the city, and GPS takes up a good amount of battery. With this sleek and slim portable charger, I can extend my phone's battery life for at least a few more hours. I use the iWalk portable charger often, especially when I'm on the go, whether I'm busy running around in the city or when I'm traveling." — Anvita Reddy, former assistant shopping editor
The iWALK Small Portable Charger 4800mAh for iPhone
iWalk Portable Charger 4800mAh Power Bank ($20, originally $30)
"When enough of my colleagues rave about a product, I'll typically end up purchasing it for myself just to see what all of the hype is about. Such is the case with this iWalk Portable iPhone Charger , which I had seen featured across my social media feed nonstop over the last few months — and now I know why. This isn't your typical clunky, tricky-to-use iPhone charger that takes forever to charge or, even worse, takes up a ton of space in your bag. Within the span of only an hour, the portable battery can be fully charged and ready to use as needed. With this tool, I can forgo a charging cord altogether as the product can be inserted straight into my iPhone's lightning port, which is fantastic because it's one less thing for me to have to worry about carrying around or transporting when I'm on the go.
I love the easy functionality of the product and the fact it's compact (and stylish!), so it doesn't feel like a nuisance to have to travel with it. I recently relied on my iWalk charger while attending back-to-back shows at NYFW, and it proved to be a lifesaver for those longer days outside of my hotel when my battery life would be drained from taking photos, notes, or just responding to emails." — Kyley Warren, former assistant shopping editor
