At a Google event led by the company's new CEO, Sundar Pichai, the company announced several new products, including two Nexus phones. It also touched upon several of the new features coming to Google Photos and Now on Tap, as well as an incredible family plan for its Google Play Music platform. It's pretty clear Google is trying its hardest to not only remain relevant and fresh, but also exciting and innovative with each of its products and apps.

The Nexus 5X and 6P come packed with new features, most notably Nexus Imprint and incredible cameras. Nexus Imprint is Google's fingerprint sensor technology that is available on both phones and works remarkably fast. The 6P also has Nexus Imprint as well as a 12.3 megapixel camera designed to take better photos in lower light settings.

In addition to a better battery life feature, Android Pay, and an app permissions system, Android M will have voice search from the lock screen, a charging indicator, and an app drawer with your favorite apps at the top. Most importantly, you can uninstall several of the apps the phone comes with.

When Google Photos was first announced in June, everyone completely fell in love with the app. Now, the app makes it even easier to share photos across devices and people with shared albums. Simply share a link with someone and they can add or even subscribe to the album to get notifications whenever something new is added. It will arrive later this year. Another feature arriving to Android phones this week is the ability to add labels and names on Google Photos.

Google Photos will now have Chromecast support letting you show your photos on a TV. It doesn't completely mirror your phone, so no accidental photos will cast. This feature will be available on Android this week and "soon" for iOS.

Google's newest answer to keeping your old products fresh is a $35 device called Chromecast Audio. Just plug into any speaker of yours, and boom, it's Bluetooth enabled and finally part of this century.

The Chromecast ($35), which originally came in black, is now arriving in two other colors: lemonade and coral. Showtime will now be available on it, as well as (finally) the option to stream Spotify. The app will also have Fast Play technology, which will predict what you want to watch before choosing it.

The Pixel C, which is definitely competition to Microsoft's Surface Pro 3 and the iPad Pro, comes with powerful sound and a keyboard that will cost $149. The keyboard, which is much larger than similar keyboards, will actually charge to the Pixel C when it's closed. Arriving in the holiday season, a 42 GB model will cost $499 and the 64 GB model will cost $599.

Though this first made news at Google I/O in May, the company did a quick demo of just how easily Now on Tap works with different apps. If you're using Whatsapp and someone asks you to eat dinner, you can just long hold the home button and information about the restaurant pops up as well as the ability to create an event.

The streaming wars continue and Google just leveled the game with its $15 a month family plan for Google Play Music. It's the same price as Apple Music and cheaper than Spotify.
