21 Reasons to Visit Disneyland and Disney World If You're a Star Wars Fan

You don't have to travel to a galaxy far, far away to have every single one of your Star Wars dreams come true. The newest attractions at both Disneyland Resort in California and Walt Disney World Resort in Florida are close enough to live out the experience you've always wanted from the films.

Star Wars Launch Bay kicked off in December at both resorts — there you can play video games, tour galleries that have items like Han Solo's Blaster, and of course, choose the Dark or Light Side of the Force and meet either Darth Vader or Chewbacca. Oh, and did we mention there's also a replica of The Cantina? Plenty of photo opportunities here, but just try not to run into any bounty hunters.

For those looking for a more cinematic encounter with Star Wars, each resort offers two different journeys to choose from. The first is the Path of the Jedi, a short movie that is a CliffsNotes version to remeet all the characters from the films. The second is Star Tours, which focuses on a 3D experience. You'll hear music from the films and get to "travel" to different sets in Star Wars where you can meet all sorts of characters.

And if you have kids, they will surely love the Jedi Training portion at both resorts. As Younglings, they will learn the ways of the Force and test their abilities when they battle villains.

All throughout these Star Wars areas, stormtroopers will patrol the areas and you can try different foods that are inspired by the movies. If you can only visit one of the resorts, know that each has a special attraction. Over in California, Space Mountain is now Hyperspace Mountain. You'll get to fly and be part of a battle between Imperial TIE Fighters and Rebel X-wings. On the opposite side of the coast in Florida, you can expect to see a fireworks show set to music from the films.

Check out photos of the entire experience ahead — we bet you'll want to book your next vacation ASAP.
