This Romantic Game of Thrones Proposal Would Impress the Old Gods and the New

The sweetest marriage proposals can happen anywhere — even if you're in full cosplay and in the middle of Comic-Con. That's the story behind one epic Game of Thrones proposal that happened at this year's Comic-Con.

Hayley Smith and Christopher Setts regularly do couples cosplay, with Smith most of the time dressing as Daenerys Targaryen. However, for Comic-Con, Setts told Smith he wanted to be Rhaegar Targaryen. She went along with it and dressed as Lyanna Stark for the event. The actual story details about the two in the show are still a bit murky, but nothing is mysterious when it came to Setts proposing to Smith. She said yes!

The couple is now happily looking forward to planning a Game of Thrones-themed wedding. Their plan revolves around "showcasing the different houses and an overall castle and/or medieval theme tied into the Game of Thrones world," said Smith in a Facebook message. They plan on keeping it full of light and no terrors. "Of course no red wedding theme!" said Smith.

Of course, the couple is heavily invested in the show and who will win the Iron Throne. "After reading the books and watching the latest season on HBO, I am confident that Daenerys Targaryen will end up taking the Iron Throne, making an alliance with Jon Snow in the process," said Smith. She's not the only one who thinks so.

Ahead, take a look at the photos from their amazing proposal. It's something out of a Westerosi dream.
