With the current political climate, it feels like no matter what you do, everything on Facebook is overwhelming. People are picking fights left and right, and some people's comments are too much to handle. While you should definitely think about taking a break from Facebook if you feel like it's too much, you can also just simply put someone on a restricted list.

Unlike unfollowing someone on Facebook, the restricted list doesn't let your friend see any of your posts, unless you choose to make one public. Check out the three simple steps ahead to put a friend on the list. If this isn't enough, you might want to consider other ways of coping with any Donald Trump-related stress.

First, go to your friend's profile.

Hover your mouse over the Friends tab.

Once you've done this, this person won't be able to see anything you post. You're still friends though, so you don't need to have an awkward conversation about unfriending them.

Keep in mind, however, if you post something and keep it public, they will be able to see it.
