You Could Stay in Dracula's Castle on Halloween Night — If You Dare

Two lucky (and fearless) people will have the opportunity to stay at Dracula's castle overnight . . . on Halloween night. The official name of the residence is Bran Castle, and it's located in Transylvania, Romania, the historic home of Vlad the Impaler — whom Dracula is based on. The winners of this Airbnb writing contest will be greeted at the door by Bram Stoker's great-grandnephew Dacre Stoker, who will entertain the guests with local Transylvanian lore and host the lucky winners who are able to whip up an original written piece worthy of the famous author.

This spooky residence has all of the characteristics of a classic haunted castle, including creaky staircases, candelabras, and secret passageways. The guests will even get the exact dinner that Dracula eats in the novel. Guests are urged to close all the curtains before going to sleep in velvet-trimmed coffins (just like a vampire!). Winners are urged to leave their garlic and silver at home, since these items are forbidden at the castle. The residence also discourages putting any objects into a cross formation.
