Rancho Valencia seems to keep getting better with time. When I first visited in 2025, I was struck by the Southern California hotel's sprawling property, complete with racquet courts of various kinds, an expansive gym and barre studio, and the spa where I had one of the best facials of my life. Since then, however, the hotel has expanded upon its wellness offerings.
A new Valencia Reset package turns the already tranquil accommodations into mini wellness retreats. Prior to experiencing the package myself, I had a consultation where I shared more about my wellness goals so that a personalized itinerary could be created. Then, during my stay, I was able to enjoy an intimate barre class, hourlong personal training session, and a 90-minute spa treatment, all included as part of the package. (And yes, I got the facial again.)
Back in the room, there was an array of wellness gadgets, including a Theragun massager, JetBoots compression boots with LED, a vibrating WaveRoller, and magnetic Intake breathing bands. I was especially fond of the TheraFace LED face mask, which I would use before bed.
As a new mom, it can be tough to find time prioritize self-care, but the wellness package made it possible whether during naptime or in between running after my toddler — and from the comforts of my hotel room.
