This week brought some very interesting casting news for stars Cameron Diaz and Chris Hemsworth. Both gained exciting new roles, and several more actors are in talks for new movie deals as well. Find out what surprising genres George Clooney and Sean Penn may be headed for, along with the rest of the week's biggest casting news in this roundup!
Annabel's members' club in London was a hot spot last night — Tom Cruise stopped by for a bit, as did Benicio Del Toro. American Pie buddies Tara Reid and Thomas Ian Nicholas were even there to catch up. Tom treated himself to the evening out on the town during a break from work on All You Need Is Kill. He's been making his home in the UK for the last few months during production on the new thriller and in the aftermath of his split from Katie Holmes. Once in a while, Tom's been seeing what London has to offer after dark. Tom partied at Chinawhite last month in order to see his 17-year-old son, Connor, man the DJ booth. Tom also had a getaway to Croatia, where he relaxed for a weekend and sampled the nightlife there, too.
Kimberly Stewart and Benicio Del Toro met up at a friend's house with their daughter, Delilah, on Saturday. The trio has had a lot to celebrate lately, since both Kimberly and Delilah had birthdays last week on Aug. 21. Kimberly turned 33 while Delilah hit her one-year mark. Kimberly and Benicio are apparently still not a couple, but it looks like they're getting together to spend time with Delilah when Benicio isn't busy with work. He already had the Summer release Savages and has been filming his latest project, Jimmy Picard, in Michigan. Next, Benicio will join Cameron Diaz in the drama Agent: Century 21.
Oliver Stone took his Savages to the beach yesterday along with the movie's stars Blake Lively, Taylor Kitsch, Benicio Del Toro, and Aaron Johnson. Salma Hayek is back on the West Coast after premiering her latest film, Americano, in Toronto over the weekend, but she skipped out on the day of shooting. Blake was back in her bikini top and bohemian skirt for her scenes, while her good-looking costars Taylor and Aaron rocked board shorts. The story revolves around a love triangle between Blake, Taylor, and Aaron's characters, but in real life she's still going strong with Leonardo DiCaprio. Leo's well aware that his girlfriend is a fashion lover, and her sartorial expertise recently earned her a special honor — Blake made People's Best Dressed list along with Jennifer Aniston, Reese Witherspoon, and Jessica Alba.
Blake Lively, Salma Hayek, and Benicio Del Toro were spotted leaving a table read for their upcoming Oliver Stone project, Savages, in LA yesterday. The film follows two pot growers who face off against the Mexican drug cartel, and Stone's compiled an impressive cast with Uma Thurman, John Travolta, and Emile Hirsch also attached to the project. Blake is back on the West Coast following her trip to New York over the weekend, where she and Amber Tamblyn were among the guests at their Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants costar America Ferrera's intimate wedding to fiancé Ryan Piers Williams. Leonardo DiCaprio didn't escort Blake to the ceremony, instead hanging out with pals Lukas Haas and Ethan Suplee in Hollywood.

Today brought the latest addition to Hollywood's long list of expecting parents — Kimberly Stewart is pregnant with Benicio Del Toro's baby! Kimberly and Benicio are not a couple, but the duo are apparently both very excited. Kimberly was linked to Jude Law a few years ago after calling off her engagement to Laguna Beach's Talan Torriero in 2005, while Benicio's been more focused on his acting career recently. The child will be the first for both celebs in addition to the first grandchild of Rod Stewart, who just welcomed his own eighth kid last month. So, we want to know what you think — is it awesome or pretty out-there that Kimberly and Benicio are expecting?
Elle Fanning posed with her onscreen dad Stephen Dorff and director Sofia Coppola at the LA premiere of Somewhere last night. The trio reunited at the Louis Vuitton-hosted event after Sofia and Stephen attended the film's Parisian debut last month. Elle is following in her older sister Dakota's actor footsteps by taking on more mature projects. The younger Fanning recently signed on to work with another big-name director, Cameron Crowe, in the upcoming adaptation of We Bought a Zoo. Somewhere is out in limited release around Christmas and most of you are excited to have hot, sometimes shirtless, Stephen back in the spotlight.

Diane Kruger looked heavenly in hot pink, which contrasted with Kirsten Dunst in bright blue at last night's Cannes closing ceremony event. Salma Hayek was in yet another glamorous gown after showing off quite the collection from the first red carpet to the final one. Kate Beckinsale's duty as a juror also came to a close with their annual award presentation where the Palme d'Or and other accolades are handed out. This gorgeous group of women are regulars at this year's festival where the fashion has been so fun to watch. There have also been some amazing photo ops in the picturesque setting, which always provides for some of the most beautiful A-list moments.
A film from Thailand, Uncle Boonmee Who Can Recall His Past Lives won the coveted Palme d'Or and Javier Bardem was named Best Actor for his work in Biutiful, an award he shared with Elio Germano from Italy. Diane presented to both Javier and Elio and the two shook on stage as they accepted their joint honors. Javier's two main women — his mom and Penelope Cruz – were both in the audience to cheer him on. Penelope skipped the posing again, but held tight to Javier as they ducked out at the end of the evening, just like at his premiere earlier in the week. Gael Garcia Bernal also took the stage as his movie Letters to Juliet had a quiet weekend at the box office. Another Cannes on the French Riviera is over, but it's never too early to start looking forward to next year!
