Katie Holmes Is Crazy About Her New Onscreen Man

Katie Holmes filmed scenes for Spike Lee's latest producing project, Mania Days, in NYC yesterday.

Katie Holmes filmed scenes for Spike Lee's latest producing project, Mania Days, in NYC yesterday. She started working on the movie late last month but was joined by costar Luke Kirby on Tuesday. The duo shot scenes in front of a church, held hands while walking on the sidewalk, and got caught up in fits of laughter. In the film, Katie and Luke play two manic depressives who find each other in a psychiatric hospital and develop a romance centered on their conditions.

Katie was in a different kind of spotlight last week when she made a stunning Met Gala red carpet appearance. The actress will remain in front of the cameras for a while, though, since she's also tied to another romantic comedy, Responsible Adults, alongside Chace Crawford.

Met Gala: Best Dressed

The 2013 Met Gala best-dressed set could easily be likened to the fashion Olympics, and this year's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition turnout made it harder than ever to pick only five gold-medal contenders.

The 2013 Met Gala best-dressed set could easily be likened to the fashion Olympics, and this year's Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition turnout made it harder than ever to pick only five gold-medal contenders. Beyoncé Knowles spared no head-turning detail in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture flame-embroidered gown; Gwyneth Paltrow stood out in a covered-up hot pink Valentino number; Rooney Mara played the edgy card in a custom Givenchy Haute Couture gown, complete with floral embroidery, zippers, ruffles, and a split-front opening; Jennifer Lawrence chose ladylike Dior (and that Jennifer Behr netted veil!); and Katie Holmes stunned in a downright ethereal custom Calvin Klein creation. It's a close one, but it's time for you to declare a best-dressed winner of the night.

Katie Holmes stepped out for the Punk: Chaos to Couture exhibition at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in a custom Calvin Klein creation. The brunette beauty kept her hair slicked back, her eye makeup dark and smoky, and as for the dress? Holmes said she couldn't say "no" to this Francisco Costa-designed gown because it was just "so beautiful." From the dramatic sweeping train to the illusion-like bodice to the circular halter-style detail, it's certainly worth a second (and third) glance. What's your verdict?

While working her way through the airport in LA, Julianne Hough was the latest star to show off her cool style in an army-green jacket. Not only does this outerwear trend never go out of style, but also, anoraks lend an easy utilitarian touch to just about anything they top — and they're the perfect transitional jacket, which means you can wear them just about anytime of year. Not convinced? Just take a gander some of our favorite style-setters sporting army jackets with their everyday looks.
