At the age of 6, many of us were not allowed to wear makeup. If you were lucky, you could (maybe) get away with some lip gloss. But now, thanks to social media, beauty enthusiasts of all ages and genders around the world can express their love for makeup on YouTube, Instagram, and other platforms.

Six-year-old Bella-Rose from Sydney, Australia, is one of these budding beauty mavens. Her older sister, Emily Louise, is a YouTube vlogger, and she features clips of her young sibling's makeup skills.

In her most recent feature, Bella-Rose takes a shot at the full-face highlighter challenge. With a variety of illuminating products in tow, she details how to achieve a superstrobed, music-festival-inspired look. She even dons a flower crown to bring her glowing style to life! The results — and her skills — are truly impressive.

The blossoming professional artist has since garnered plenty of fans, including fellow makeup enthusiasts who directly relate to Bella's love for beauty and others who simply admire her talent. But though her skills are adorable to some, she has also received backlash from critics who think her hobby will result in her growing up too fast.

While times have definitely changed since we were 6, we think it's awesome to see a young girl explore her passion, sharpen her skills, and have fun! After all, makeup artistry is an incredible form of self-expression. We're hopeful that Bella's love for cosmetics will make her the star of her own YouTube channel in the future. Who knows? Maybe she'll even end up with her own brand someday!
