A Toddler Proved the Too Faced Chocolate Palette Smells Good Enough to Eat

The drawback of owning deliciously scented beauty products is that you'll be tempted to go ahead and sample them. Sadly, instead of a yummy flavor, you'll likely be left with the taste of regret. That's what happened to the niece of California teen Lauren Rincon.

According to BuzzFeed, the toddler was tempted by the aroma of Too Faced's drool-worthy Chocolate Bar eye shadow palette ($49). This compact's contents were formulated with actual cocoa powder, so it smells unreasonably delicious. The little girl dug in but was bitterly disappointed. Look at that face of betrayal!

The hilarious image of the toddler quickly went viral, causing many to be concerned for her niece. She explained that she was keeping an eye on her but had reached out to the brand to ensure the palette's ingredients were safe enough for human consumption.

However, after making sure her niece was safe, Lauren revealed how bummed out she was: her favorite and most expensive palette was basically destroyed. She was able to salvage many of the shades, but she was prepared to live without them.

This story has a happy ending, though! A representative from Too Faced contacted Lauren to let her know the brand would happily send her a replacement palette. Even better, BuzzFeed shared that her niece got her (real) chocolate fill.
