Gwendoline Christie on Playing a "Truly Progressive" Female Character as Captain Phasma
Gwendoline Christie is suiting up as Captain Phasma in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and, along with costars Daisy Ridley and Lupita Nyong'o, spelling a new chapter for women in the franchise. When we caught up with the (absolutely delightful) actor in LA recently, she talked with us about why Phasma is "truly progressive" — and why she's surprised she doesn't have more Star Wars jokes in her arsenal.
