The Trailer For Gillian Flynn's Next Adaptation, Dark Places, Is Here

The first adaptation of a Gillian Flynn book, Gone Girl, turned out to be a huge, Oscar-nominated hit, so we have high hopes for the next of her books to hit the big screen: Dark Places. With a star-studded cast, the movie features Charlize Theron as Libby Day, a woman who's haunted by her tragic past: when she was a child, her mother and sisters were murdered, and as the sole escapee, she put her brother (played by Corey Stoll) behind bars. Now, years later, a macabre club headed up by Nicholas Hoult wants her to reconsider everything she thought was true. Dark Places will be available on DirecTV this week and will be in theaters on Aug. 7.
