Patricia Arquette Spoke Out For Women During Her Oscar Acceptance Speech

It's no big surprise that Boyhood's Patricia Arquette — who has been dominating the best supporting actress category all season long — claimed an Oscar, but her speech did take an interesting turn. She thanked the Academy, her family, her co-workers, and a whole laundry list of people before taking a moment to thank women who gave birth and taxpayers of the nation. "It's our time to have wage equality once and for all and equal rights for women in the United States of America," she said. I'll tell you one thing: Meryl Streep and Jennifer Lopez really enjoyed it. Watch the speech below and read what else she said in the press room.
