Plus-Size Model Candice Huffine Just Made Her NYFW Debut

We see countless numbers of models take the runway during New York Fashion Week, but it's rare that one captures our attention quite like Candice Huffine. The industry veteran has been a crucial part of the fight to diversify fashion, starring in Lane Bryant's #PlusIsEqual campaign and before that, as the first plus-size model to pose for the Pierelli calendar. Now she's poised to take over the runway too.

Candice is shaking things up with her turn in Sophie Theallet's Spring 2016 fashion show. Candice already starred in the brand's straight-size campaign, but her appearance on the catwalk is even more groundbreaking. "Waking up today still in complete awe of yesterday's show. I made my #NYFW debut for a designer who has the most beautiful soul and inspiring passion for life, fashion, beauty and people!" she wrote on Instagram. "What an absolute honor to be a part of this spectacular event and one of the most diverse runways you'll see. Her vision is extraordinary and to see her work brings the greatest joy...All hail the queen Miss Sophie Theallet!!!!!!!!"
