Black Designers Are Having a Big Night at the Met Gala, and I'm So Here For It

In a look "inspired by a phoenix," Sha'Carri Richardson made her Met Gala debut in Jamaican-born designer Theophilio. As the sprinter explained in an interview on the steps of the museum, "Just showing the world that no matter what you may see at the mud or the ashes, you can always rise up. The red is fire, and always ablaze."
