Over are the days where we lament wasting even the avocado pit. Nourish Me Whole posted a video on Facebook explaining a genius way to make your avocado pit edible. Basically, slow-roast an avocado pit for a few hours until it's soft enough to crack open, like a nut. After discarding the tough shell, dice the seed (it should be soft), and throw it in a blender. You can add the ground pit to all smoothies you desire! You don't have to stop at smoothies, though; Nourish Me Whole also suggests adding to baked goods. It's worth noting that the taste is apparently slightly bitter, but don't let that deter you. We can't wait to try!
